Chapel-26

This chapel was a very special chapel. The last seniors came and told us about how a mature person’s life is. Mia talked about the place she was living in the US, which was not good. Once her roommate was bringing her boyfriend to the dorm, so Mia had to walk outside while her friend and her boyfriend were doing… something in the room.

Ceci said that school is changing and that we should become better christians. Something I can’t remember well, but she mentioned something about San Miguel, and Hailones, we must be thankful of everything we have in this school, and the teachers. I think she was just overexagerating with her “mature” speech. She changed a little in the States, I think she was more mature when she was here.

I don’t want to go to the states because they change your mind and I am a little afraid of that. I hope God choses the best for me. Anna adviced us with some experiences she had there, very useful advices. I consider that Anna is the person that will have more success because she is mature, she is very wise and I think she will have a great time because she is mature.

Today in chapel Mr… I don’t remember his name spoke~ oh! and also mr. Fisher told us to participate in friday’s whole school chapel. The main theme about the Mr It’s speech (I’m going to call him it.. I don’t know his name)

He said that once, he went to some place in Bolivia that he met this woman that was very pretty, and the way she act, the way she talks was perfect for him. So, he tried to flirt her. Ooooooh but like when he said i love you she always said “seek god” and like he tries so many times that the girl answered him with i love you and he got married.

He said also that he went to this place where girls with age of 13~15 work as prostitutes, and he saw a girl with huge scars on her ears and arms. those children were abused lacking home, parents. Their only way to survive was to work as prostitutes. and at the ending time he said that we should be “Tigresa espiritual” grrrr.

Chapel- 12 May

This day was a very hard day, I was very sick, but nobody noticed it. Irving introduced a guy that is a Bolivian who gave us the speech. He told us that his plan was to study in the States and come back to Bolivia and have a happy life… but he changed his mind, he decided to live for God.

He traveled lots of times to Iran, Pakistan those places where Bibles and Christianism is not allowed. So when he was 18 he only had 800$, he spent 600$ for trip to India, and with only 200 $ he lived in India for 3 years, and when he came home back he also had 200$…. I didn’t get the idea or what he wanted to tell us when he said that, but I guess it was something … good..

After that trip he decided to take lots of bible to Pakistan.. or Iran, I don’t remember well, but he was never caught! and it was amazing because everytime he was in like really hard times God was just there, helping him. And I really agree with that, because there was lots 0f hard times in my life, but everytime I asked him for help, and the right moment I needed him, he was there, always. So… those things happens and God is gonna help us in every bad and good moments.

Chapel April-28

Today there was a special guest who did the speech for the chapel, and omg Daniela is soo good playin violin! that’s awsome, i play piano too… but anyways, He was a pastor, he was model once but his dad didn’t like his job- _-, ok. He said that even a person is very sinful and in a very dark place God can find you and save you. He gave and example of Paul and about his life.

This guy was sooo funny, I don’t get remember everything he said, but the must remorable thing was when he said something like this, If you are walking to your house, but you fall over three times to the ground, are you gonna give up and say ” I surrender, I’m not walking anymore” ? and I comepletly agree with him, we human beings are just simple. When we fall down or fail in something, ok I can try one more time, but when we fall over and over again we start giving up, renunciate.

What he wanted to say was that it doesn’t matter, how many times we fall over or fail in something, God is always gonna be there to lift us and make us realize that there is hope and that we can get up and keep walking. Also what he told us about was that there are people who talk things about christians, and never were christians, they really don’t know what Christians do and what we try to do. And some of Christians might felt embarrased or wanted to say no when others asked, are you christian? But being a Christian is something that we should not hide, and God is going to be happy when he sees us saying, I am a Christian and act like one.

Evidence for God’s existence

Well, as it is writeen in the article, the author itself can’t explain and can’t convince all thinking people, but what people want is an exact, mathematical, specific answer, but there is like two basic sources of information about God. Like Jesus came and told us things about God, how to have a relationship with him, and supernatural things that we can observe happening in the world.

So like it is kind of difficult to argue about this theme. But I’ve been always stuck or lost when I tried to talk about this theme with other people, because their question is always like ” give me proves” and I told them about my experience and stuff but, like they want SPECIFIC like a scientific proves and stuff.

What I think is… if they do not want to admit that God exists or does not want to believe, well it’s their problem, they always wanna um.. attack christian with those questions and when we try to explain them, they just ignore us and say no way, and blah blah… then why do they ask so much? Grrrr… but anyways, I think Jesus is the only specific evidence that people can use to argue about God’s existence

Chapel Mar-10

We also started our chapel with couple of songs, one of them was my favorite “who am I”, I think Daniela is the one who puts the cheers and stuff, she has a greate voice.cuz everyone were like talking to each 0ther and stuff or sleep… I was singing…

I think Mr. Swaney was tired or… i don’t know, so Mrs. Baglay gave her speech, she told us that teenagers think emotionally, and not logically, well… it might be true, but sometimes I see people (teenagers) that are like… sooo logical like Matheo…

I used to be emotional when I was 14 or 15… because I was like always taking stuffs very seriously and like emotional, like “she called me stupid! how could she? she’s my best friend!” and start to cry and stuff… but not everything was emotional… I guess.

Chapel March 3

We started with few songs like always, and this time the chapel team was great. There was a special guest, it was mss Carpente, she talked something about self valuing… stuff, everything she said I completely agree, because when I was 12 or 13, seriously I was the most emotional girl of my whole school. I remember when was walking somewhere outside, I always had this in my head, “Where are they looking at? are they talking about me? is my hair okay?” it was funny…

Anyways, She told us that highschool is the best … I don’tthink so, I don’t know… maybe when I get to college and get old would say that once, but… uh uh. I don’t like it, it’s not funny, it’s just something stressful for me…and Miss Carpenter didn’t like her highschool either, because she was so timid and she was called wallflower or something like that…

I really do value myself and respect, but there are people who are highly self valued and you know… they start believing they’re the best and popular and stuff… but anyways, I’m gonna try to enjoy my highschool and

Article- Why hell?

I think like most of people, that hell is kind of threat of God or something like that, because it is like “If you don’t belive me, you’ll go to hell so it is up to you” and ofcourse they will choose to believe because they do not want to suffer eternally in a flame (if they don’t… they would probably have mental problems )

Anyways, but otherwise, I think that maybe he’s not the one that send us to hell, we are who decides to go there because we had an opportunity or threat that God gave us and it’s not easy because the thiing of “believing God” it’s not just saying ” Oh yeah, I admit that God exists. Amen” No, it is not. It’s giving all your life, live for him, and there are lots of promesses to do, warnings, etc.

I know God is above all of us, he knows who is siincere believer and who’s fake, so there’s no problem with that. But i guess that would be something quite impossible for people to believe in God wholeheartdly, with the thread of hell, why? it’s simple, because humans are stupid, and simple, we don’t like the uncomfortable, always looking for a comfortable life, easy life, and humans could do everything to satisfy themselves.

Article-How Can A Loving God Allow Evil?

This article caught my attention, because i personally ask myself Why does God allow evil in this world? there is more evil than wellness. And what is Evil? where did it come from? The article says that evil is not a being that is there. It’s the perversion of a good. Like for example tooth decay exists because the tooth exists first. So simply evil exists because things are not the way the are supposed to be.

But some people, or most of people in the world asks “If God is all-good, powerfull, perfect, almighty. Wouldn’t he create a world with no evil?” but I think those kind of questions are just stupid. It’s not created by God, it’s just there, I can’t explain it, but I think evil existed since the beggining or infinity.

People like to do bad stuffs and then say ” Nah~ I just ask for forgiveness and he will forgive me” and that’s it. But God is gonna judge who’s good and who’s bad at the end of the world and those people would have nothing to say ‘ – ‘ I think God is always fighting against evil, but what it really counts is that, we ourselves need to fight against it and try to get away from evil.

Chapel Feb-3

I couldn’t go to school this day, because I was in Salar de Uyuni! I loved it! Anyways. So I couldn’t get to hear Mr. Swaney’s great speech! But Daniela told me that he talked about Lazarus, the guy that died and rised after four days of dead. I searched about him in Wikipedia and Bible, he had two sisters one was called Maria and the other Martha.

I think they three were friends of Jesus, but when Lazarus got ill, his sisters sent a message “Lord, the one you love is sick.” But Jesus waited two more days, he didn’t hurry, because he knew! that he would do a miracle! so after days passed, he decides to go see Lazarus, I imagine Jesus like sitting in a chair with a peaceful face waiting for two days… waiting Lazarus to … pass away?

Anyways.. when he arrived to Lazarus house, Lazarus was in tomb for four days. (as he thought). Martha blamed Jesus, but Jesus said that he will rise again, and whoever belives in him will never die. But Mary was very sad about her brother’s death. And Jesus prayed looking at the heaven and said come Lazarus and he really came out, as if nothing had happened, like ” Yes? who’s calling me?” It was kind of funny… but wow. And after that Jesus said to remove Lazarus dirty cloth.
